Just four conferences since 1997 have posted a home winning percentage higher than .750. The highest was Midwestern Collegiate Conference in 1999-2000 when MCC's home winning percentage was .786. Heading into last Saturday's games, this year's Big Ten home teams were 46-11, a .807 percentage.
But Sunday the worm turned--or at least wiggled a little.
Michigan State snapped Minnesota's seven-game home winning streak, running away from the Gophers 70-52. And Indiana (+1) lost a heartbreaker in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to the Maryland Terrapins 77-76, a push on the GridCard, burning 196 points. These two games helped summerman (37) notch his first GridCard win of the year, following up last week's second place finish in Gm5.
MW (36) edged out Ace (35) for the PGT win, both players slipping by Heart of a Hooligan when Illinois covered against Minnesota. Rookie KaitMac (36) finished second in just her second GridCard game while veterans Zeke (34) and KDet047 (31) posted the only other Qualifying Scores--KDet047 (69) taking home the King Kong for winning the week.
