There were more blowouts than nail-biters in MLB First-Game action. But the World Cup provided plenty of pre-holiday GridCard fireworks. First, Edinson Cavani scored both goals for Uruguay in their 2-1 win against Portugal. Then Russian pulled off the third largest upset in World Cup history, beating Spain on penalty kicks. Finally, after Denmark's goalkeeper Schmeichel had made a game-saving stop on a penalty kick late in extra time, Croatia's goalie Danjiel Subasic outdueled Schmeichel in the shootout 3-2, allowing Croatia to advance.
All of this World Cup action was good to btninja (40), and when David Tom's saved par with a long putt on 17 in the US Senior Open, btninja clinched his fourth GridCard Win. Just one point off the pace, JohnnyRan (39) and ranvilld12 (39) both defeated the ProGrid Tour as did three other players: GO BLUE (38), dangerzone (34), and summerman (33). Teunesto's (32) was good enough to win the PGT.
