The Preakness Preview

16 May 2019

The expected field for Saturday's Preakness Stakes stands at thirteen horses, the most since 2011. Trainer Bob Baffert has won the Preakness seven times and brings one of the favorites--Improbable--to Pimlico this year. The race is a sixteenth of a mile shorter than the Kentucky Derby won this year by Country House who is not running on Saturday due to an illness.

In the NBA, the underdogs host playoff games 3-4 on the GridCard. Gm5s are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday of next week and are in the Second Game mix; however, check the Info Buttons for the replacement matchups in the event of any Conference Final four-game sweeps.

The PGA Championship, which closes the First Game, will be played on the Bethpage Black Course in Long Island. This Major was moved up to May from August and weather could be a factor. MLB has several interesting GridCard clashes, including Astros @ Red Sox and Phillies @ Cubs. NASCAR and NHL playoffs round out the action.
