If the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide is to be challenged at all this year, Saturday night in Baton Rouge against the No. 3 LSU Tigers might be the time, place, and opponent. Still, LSU is a two touchdown underdog. Last year, in Tuscaloosa the Tide beat the Tigers by exactly that--24-10. The recent trends tell two conflicting stories: following a bye-week Alabama is 5-1 ATS; however, LSU is 10-1 ATS in its last eleven conference games. Something's gotta give. Two other SEC games are also on the GridCard. Texas A&M visits Auburn and Georgia travels to Kentucky.
Four Big 12 games are also in the mix. Oklahoma State takes on Baylor, KSU plays TCU, and Oklahoma clashes with Texas Tech. West Virginia at Texas is probably the most anticipated. The Longhorns can dash any Mountaineer playoff hopes with a win in Austin.
In other games, Notre Dame tries to remain undefeated against Northwestern, and Michigan comes off a bye to take on a wounded but dangerous Penn State squad.
The GridCard also features key NFL games--Chargers @ Seahawks, Packers @ Patriots, and Rams @ Saints. Following two mid-week MAC matchups, the Second Game concludes on Thursday with Wake Forest @ NC State and the Panthers taking on the Steelers.
