Star Power Outage

15 Aug 2020

The NBA playoff picture clouded over in the Bubble last week as two stars suffered serious injuries. Houston Rockets PG Russell Westbrook strained a right quadricep and Philadelphia 76ers PF Ben Simmons suffered a subluxation of his left knee. And while Westbrook will miss several playoff games, Simmons' season is over.

The two teams met on Thursday, the last pre-playoff game for both teams, and apparently the Rockets missed Westbrook more than the 76ers missed Simmons as Houston fell to Philly 134-96. The big win by the 76ers elevated Ricco1947 (36) to King of the Mountain, edging out Butch (34) and Winky (34) who came up short of the Hamlin-Hopper but earned WPNs for defeating the ProGrid Tour.

Teunesto (33) was the PGT winner.  It was Ricco1947's third GridCard win of the year. And Winky (67), meanwhile, made it back-to-back King Kongs, out-scoring every player again this week. Mr. Jake 50 (32) posted the only other Qualifying Score.
