With the scored tied and under five seconds to play, on the verge of capturing Gm1 of the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers needed 81% FT shooter George Hill to convert the backend to take the lead against the heavily favored Golden State Warriors. They didn't get it. Instead, they got an offensive rebound from JR Smith who inexplicably dribbled out the clock, thinking his team had the lead. In OT, the Warriors scored the first seven points and easily covered 124-114.
The missed free throw and metal error rescued 54 GridCard points for Warriors' bettors and gave GridCard veteran KDet047 (43) his first GridCard Win. KDet047--who sports a .526 WWP--also posted his Personal Best (80) over both games to earn his second King Kong. In Week 18 he led all scorers with (67).
Overtime soured the night for MW (39) who did sweep both games of the PGT, but had to settle for third place in the Second Game behind the only other player to defeat the ProGrid Tour, ranvilld12 (41).
