NFL Week Two Preview

12 Sep 2018

The Miami Hurricanes are heavy favorites in Toledo this week while the Mid-Atlantic States are heavy underdogs to Hurricane Florence. Look for weather to affect GridCard games in that area. FSU @ Syracuse should be the most competitive early game. The Seminoles just got by powerhouse Samford at home last week. Boise State @ Oklahoma State and Houston @ Texas Tech  should provide mid-afternoon fireworks. Two late games, Ohio State @ TCU and USC @ Texas, close out the First Game on the GridCard.

Did you know that USC claims to be undefeated against Texas because they were forced to vacate 17 wins in 2004 and 2005 due to Reggie Bush receiving benefits? I guess they vacated their loss to Vince Young and the Longhorns in the 2005 Championship Game right along with the wins.

Second Game Confidence picks include key matchups: Chiefs @ Steelers, Giants @ Cowboys, and Seahawks @ Bears. The Patriots visit the Jags in a rematch of last year's AFC Championship Game--this time in Jacksonville. Also in the mix--an AL East showdown between the Red Sox and Yankees. The GridCard winds up on Thursday with an American Athletic Conference clash between Tulsa and Temple, and the Jets in Cleveland taking on the Browns in the NFL game.
