Saturday’s clash between #3 Purdue and #4 MSU is a perfect tonic for a Super Bowl LII hangover.

The Sagarin Power Rankings have Purdue listed at #2 (93.84) behind #1 Villanova (95.33). MSU is #4 (92.12) just behind #3 Virginia (93.36). Purdue is 4-1 vs Top Ten and 7-1 vs Top Fifty. MSU is 1-3 vs Top Ten and 5-3 vs Top Fifty.

The Boilermakers had reeled off a school-record 19 straight wins after winning at Rutgers 78-76 last Saturday. The Scarlet Knights outscored Purdue by nine in the second half but came up short.
