Week 3 of the NFL Preseason is dress rehearsal for most teams. There are ten NFL GridCard bets this week and starters will play the first half in most of them. MLB has only seven Confidence Picks in the mix as baseball gets squeezed out to make room for NCAA football. And while this partial NCAA schedule does not include any heavyweight matchups, we finally have GridCard football games that count.
On Saturday, Hawaii will be a two touchdown underdog when the Rainbow Warriors take on the Colorado State Rams at Fort Collins, Colorado. The Wyoming @ New Mexico State clash provides some late-night First Game GridCard action which also includes North Carolina A&T playing Jacksonville State at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama.
The most significant NCAA football game kicks-off Thursday night when Northwestern takes on Purdue in West Lafayette. The winner of this early Big Ten opener will gain a foothold in perhaps the weakest of the Power 5 divisions, the Big Ten West. Minnesota, Wisconsin, and MSU are also on the GridCard, playing over-matched opponents. Last year's undefeated UCF Knights are favored by over three touchdowns when they travel to UConn. And Wake Forest is favored by a touchdown at Tulane.
