In 2000, ESPN ranked Michigan vs Ohio State the greatest North American sports rivalry. Of course J.T. Barrett might disagree. He chalked up four wins in four years against Michigan--the only OSU starting quarterback to ever do that--and led the Buckeyes back from a 14-0 deficit last year. The Buckeyes' 31-20 win was Urban Meyer's sixth in as many tries against the Wolverines.
Besides this game between two states that hate each other, there are plenty of NCAA intrastate rivalries on Saturday's GridCard: Florida @ FSU, Baylor @ Texas Tech, Auburn @ Alabama, ASU @ Arizona, Kentucky @ Louisville, and South Carolina @ Clemson.
The Second Game has a full slate of NFL games, including Steelers @ Broncos, Packers @ Vikings, and Patriots @ Jets. Men's NCAA basketball returns to the GridCard with the Spartans on the road at Louisville and the Wolverines playing host to North Carolina. An early-season-yet-possible-NBA-finals matchup between the Warriors and Raptors tips-off just before the NFL Thursday Night game, featuring Saints @ Cowboys.
