Hideki Matsuyama became Japan's first major winner, taking down the Masters, his blistering third-round 65 providing an insurmountable cushion. Hideki's two-putt bogey on the final hole sealed the deal and made history. It was estimated that Matsuyama's  victory is worth a billion dollars in endorsements for the 29 year old.

On the GridCard, Butch (43) and cowboy (43) were both King of the Mountain--and nearly perfect. Butch won for the third time this year; cowboy's win was his first. Three other players defeated the ProGrid Tour and earned a WPN: Annabelle (38), JeepCreeper (36), and mac's detail (31). Six more players posted Qualifying Scores: Mr. Jake 50 (30), kjh98 (30),  rookie Rufuscoulk (29), amcmayonnaise (29), ranvilld12 (29), and PGT winner MW (30).
